What’s happening at Alphemita?? Well, let me share with you!!

My mister and I moved to our new place.  We’re really enjoying how much light and open space we have. There are a few things left on the landlord’s list of things to do and it doesn’t help that it has rained almost every day since we moved in. Our landlord has given me permission to landscape as I see fit and plant anything I want to.  That made my heart happy!  I’ll get on that as soon as they are finished with the fence, I don't want my little seedlings to be trampled!  But all in all it feels like a fresh start. 

The room I claimed as my office is the smallest in the house, but just perfect for me to sit and watch the birds at the feeder while I work.  I may have to get a book on all the Oklahoma Birds- I think my mister isn’t as thrilled as I am when a new bird comes to visit (and I send him a pic to identify the type, because I do not know!)  I love watching them as they sit on the feeders,  fly around in the side yard, and call to each other. And my coworker (Boomer, our beagle) is loving the new arrangement too! 

I tell you all of this because as humans, we tend to want things to stay the same. We forget how good changing things up can be!  And how beneficial it can be to have a new set of eyes on things.  DeeDee & I have met with a business coach from Blue Heron Business Partners, Emily Bisson. She asked a few questions and made some recommendations that have also been a breath of fresh air for both of us.  Like while sitting at my window, I feel my creative juices flowing when I revisit her recommendations. I actually look forward to continuing to implement her ideas with our Alphemita twist to them.

INSTANT NOTES FROM MEETINGS

We have found a new app that automatically records and transcribes zoom meetings! Now, I know that may not be as exciting to you as it is to us… but holy cow this makes documentation on client/prospect zooms so. much. easier!!! Fathom (that’s the app) + our text tracking app + our email tracking app = awesomeness dipped in amazing sauce WITH sprinkles and whipped topping!!  I would add more exclamation points, but you get the idea! 

ONLINE COURSES

The company that we switched to for web hosting is also managing the online courses we have! We have 2 based on DeeDee’s book:  Soul-Based Retirement Planning and Soul-Based Financial Planning.  And the automation they help us provide helps keep things on track. 

LADIES NIGHT

We’ve added a monthly Ladies Night In for kind, 50+ women who want to make new friends, and have a little fun. And, now that we have automated more of our day to day things, we have time to have more authentic, human interactions.  Our days don’t have to be driven solely by the lists of things that must be done! I’m going to repeat that because it’s important… We have time to have authentic, human interactions because these apps have made our to-do lists shorter (and more organized!!)
